چکیده

The notation and terminology used here are introduced in the following papers: [13], [15], [1], [16], [2], [4], [10], [11], [17], [5], [14], [12], [3], [7], [6], [9], and [8]. For simplicity, we adopt the following convention: x, a, b, c denote real numbers, n denotes a natural number, Z denotes an open subset of R, and f , f1, f2 denote partial functions from R to R. Next we state a number of propositions: (1) If x ∈ dom (the function tan), then (the function cos)(x) 6= 0. (2) If x ∈ dom (the function cot), then (the function sin)(x) 6= 0. (3) If Z ⊆ dom( f1 f2 ), then for every x such that x ∈ Z holds ( f1 f2 )(x) Z = f1(x)nZ f2(x)nZ . (4) Suppose Z ⊆ dom( f1 f2 ) and for every x such that x ∈ Z holds f1(x) = x + a and f2(x) = x − b. Then f1 f2 is differentiable on Z and for every x such that x ∈ Z holds ( f1 f2 )′↾Z(x) = −a−b (x−b) . (5) Suppose Z ⊆ dom((the function ln) · 1 f ) and for every x such that x ∈ Z holds f(x) = x. Then (the function ln) · 1 f is differentiable on Z and for every x such that x ∈ Z holds ((the function ln) · 1 f )′↾Z(x) = − 1 x .

Several Integrability Formulas of Special Functions. Part II

In this article, we give several differentiation and integrability formulas of special and composite functions including the trigonometric function, the hyperbolic function and the polynomial function [3]. For simplicity, we adopt the following rules: r, x, a, b denote real numbers, n, m denote elements of N, A denotes a closed-interval subset of R, and Z denotes an open subset of R. One can pr...

Several Differentiation Formulas of Special Functions. Part III

The articles [13], [15], [16], [1], [4], [10], [11], [17], [5], [14], [12], [2], [6], [9], [7], [8], and [3] provide the terminology and notation for this paper. For simplicity, we follow the rules: x, r, a, b denote real numbers, n denotes a natural number, Z denotes an open subset of R, and f , f1, f2, f3 denote partial functions from R to R. One can prove the following propositions: (1) x2 Z...

Closed formulas for the price and sensitivities of European options under a double exponential jump diffusion model

We derive closed formulas for the prices of European options andtheir sensitivities when the underlying asset follows a double-exponentialjump diffusion model, as considered by S. Kou in 2002. This author hasderived the option price by making use of double series where each termrequires the computation of a sequence of special functions, such thatthe implementation remains difficult for a large...

Influential feeding dynamics of sharks and mathematical formulas to estimate the power of biting by morphological data

The mouths of some bony and cartilaginous fishes are located in the anterior part of theirbodies, with a slight variation in sharks, which have theirs located in the abdominal part. Thisvariation is evolutionary over time. The force exerted by the jaws of sharks in order todismember their prey can be examined from two origins: .The determined force exerted by teethand muscles and the force as a...
